Well, Sean Boylan certainly has gone for size and strength this year. In 2006 they didn't have enough muscle and were bullied in the 2nd test.
Still unsure of a couple of the selections, its a shame Kennelly and Martin Clarke are unavailable
Irish manager Sean Boylan has announced his International Rules squad for the tour to Australia later this month.
All-Ireland finalists Tyrone and beaten finalists Kerry are well represented with four players each but there are a couple of surprises.
The 27-man squad is made up of players from 14 different counties and is captained by Tyrone's Seán Cavanagh.
Meath's David Gallagher will act as the team's goalkeeper, while Colm Begley of the Brisbane Lions has been selected to compete against some of his AFL colleagues.
There is no place for Kerry's Colm Cooper, as Boylan has opted to go for size and strength over skill.
The first Test will be played in Perth on 24 October with the second Test fixed for Melbourne on 31 October.
Irish International Rules squad:
Seán Cavanagh (Tyrone), Graham Canty (Cork), David Gallagher (Meath), Colm Begley (Brisbane Lions/Laois), Paddy Bradley (Derry), Bernard Brogan (Dublin), Benny Coulter (Down), Bryan Cullen (Dublin), Kieran Donaghy (Kerry), Leighton Glynn (Wicklow), Finian Hanley (Galway), John Keane (Westmeath), Aaron Kernan (Armagh), Ciarán Lyng (Wexford), Steven McDonnell (Armagh), Enda McGinley (Tyrone), Ciarán McKeever (Armagh), Joe McMahon (Tyrone), Justin McMahon (Tyrone), Michael Meehan (Galway), John Miskella (Cork), Aidan O'Mahony (Kerry), Pearse O'Neill (Cork), Tom Parsons (Mayo), Kevin Reilly (Meath), Tommy Walsh (Kerry), Killian Young (Kerry).
