beaten in the final by enniskillen 3rd's supposedly! they drafted in players as far away as dublin cyms or something to you know anything about this team or club wayne, we have a contact who plays for them who is looking into this situation but he has been warned off by his team coach! the point is we beat banbridge and ciyms well and they beat enniskillen by 40 and 50 points and then enniskillen beats us 17-3 does'nt make sense!!

a play-off tonight against rainey from co derry to see who wins the league, unfortunately a bit of the wind in our sails has disappeared after being screwed in the cup final, 3 years ago we where told by the vice-president of the Ulster rugby that no catholic or southern team would win at ravenhill and that we should be grateful to play there, we laughed it off at the time but it seems he was not joking, if you only new to what lenghts the ulster branch where willing to go too, to make sure Enniskillen won, regrading players not to mention the 4 players from leinster clubs with links with enniskillen the whole thing is a joke! i just feel so sorry for our president who is a prodestant but an extreme genuine irish nationalist who has put most of his life into the club, and the team is getting older and it will be along time until such a good team forms again. this is my rant and i had to do it somewhere, as i said to the other players i don't mind losing but i hate being screwed! hopefully we will do the business tonight! tiocfaidh ar la mo chara!!

Oops, haven't contributed to this thread for a while!
Well, in the meantime, we got beaten by a very very solid Navan team in the league play-offs ..... then got knocked out by Old Belvedere in the second round of the cup. We might have a game next weekend but if not - then definitely against Malahide the following week where we play an annual fixture to commemorate an ex chairman of Malahide who died suddenly some years ago. It's always a great laugh because it's mainly all the old lads who have retired who play and the rest of us sit on the sideline drinking tins roaring abuse at them. ;D
Now, onto CYMS - mate, they're fucking shite!!!! I know a few lads whop play for their seconds and to be honest, they're no great shakes. CYMS are based in Terenure. In "bygone days" they used to be the Protestant club in Terenure - sort of a rival to Terenure RFC but that's all changed over the last 40 or so years. They're a really small club and only have two senior teams.

how shite are they? we have since discovered that we played the enniskillen team under the correct names but they were'nt the right players they where taken in from their first team and x-players who now play in dublin!
then got beaten in the league play-off but after being screwed like that we were'nt really at full drive, i think i have one more season in me! ;D

Oops, it's been a while since I contributed to this thread. We'll have to leave it gather dust until next season. Anyhoo, finished up losing a memorial match against Malahide RFC 24-3 a fortnight ago and then had our AGM last Saturday. I am now officially secretary for the club. Onwards and upwards. Mick Dawson had better watch out! ;D

Started our season in a friendly against Guinness last Sunday - lost 24-12. My season is fucked already - damaged ankle ligaments on holidays so face a spell on the sideline. We play Athboy this Sunday - should be a comfortable win against those dirty Meath bastards. ;D
